"Weight loss and becoming healthy has always been an ongoing struggle for me. Being one who isn't a huge fan of going to the gym, it was so easy for me to just continue to put off working out. I was at a pretty low point in life with a lot of different things, weight being one of them. I didn't think I had any options left anymore. "I was in desperate need of an exercise regimen that would work for me.  Like for so many of us, I was having a hard time getting started. I felt overwhelmed and extremely unmotivated.  I knew for myself I had to get started on a better, healthier path.  As a gift, I was given some personal training sessions.  That was when I met Megan. I had never worked with a trainer before so I was a little nervous and I was not very confident in my abilities. My hope was I would learn some exercises and maybe lose a little bit of weight. She accomplished that and more. Megan and I worked together through 18 sessions. I think I started with 6 sessions and added more as I went because I enjoyed the sessions I had with her that much. She helped me set goals and helped me work toward them. I could take the exercises I did in our sessions and continue them at home, so I did not need the gym membership just to become healthier and fitter.

"Both of my girls ages eight (8) and five (5) attended Megan's Youth Outdoor Fitness Camp this summer. To say they had a blast is an understatement! I had never really worked out at a gym since high school and I've always been intimated by all those different machines.  I have a thyroid problem and it's really hard to lose weight and I'm not getting any younger so I was looking for someone that could motivate me while keeping it interesting and having a good time to boot!  Megan always has new exercises to try for whatever level you are at and knows how to challenge you. "I met Megan by picking a trainer at random and thought we had the same name, so I’d give her a shot.  Little to my imagination, she exceeded my expectations in every aspect. I suffer from anxiety and the “gym” word was very intimidating to me.  I remember feeling so nervous, to where I was having a panic attack before meeting with her, to work out the first time. I couldn’t imagine what she would think of a 31 year old woman that was so out of shape and hadn’t been to the gym in over 15 years.  From the second I met her, I felt at ease . She assured me we go at my pace and she was there to support me. Never did she blink an eye when she measured me for the first time.  After the first 10 minutes I could tell she was such a great match for me.  She pushed me to limits I didn’t know I had. I believe she pushed me to where I didn’t even know I was being pushed.  She knew my goal was not to become a body builder or live my life at the gym. She prepared me for when my sessions were over and I could do things on my own. After 8 weeks working with Megan approx 2-3 times a week, I wanted to measure my results. I remember she kept telling me it may only be a half of inch or maybe nothing, that it didn’t matter, it was how I felt and BAM I had lost over 6 inches and truly owe it to Megan for pushing me and learning my strengths in helping me improve my weaknesses.   I had a new found confidence and owed it to her. She understood my anxiety and never made me feel bad about it. She helped me through lots of breakdowns! Those lunges got me every time! She customized my workouts and followed up with me the next days.  Typically to see if I was in my epsom salt bath, recovering!  I believe Megan saved me in so many ways, she’s such a wonderful person which I think shines in her training.
